Swordale is a small village, which lies on the River Sgitheach, in eastern Ross-shire, Scottish Highlands and is in the Scottish council area of Highland.

The village of Evanton is situated 2 miles east of Swordale, with Dingwall lying 5 mile southwest. Directly east lies the Cromarty Firth and Black Isle.
