The Florida crowned snake (Tantilla relicta) is a species of colubrid snake native only to Florida.
T. relicta is found in central peninsular Florida.
T. relicta is a small species with a maximum recorded total length (including tail) of 24 cm (9.5 in).
It has a light body color and darker head.
Three subspecies are recognized, including the nominotypical subspecies.
The subspecific name, neilli, is in honor of American herpetologist Wilfred T. Neill.
