Tervis Tumbler manufactures insulated tumblers that use double-wall technology to harness the natural insulating properties of air. The double-wall insulation is made by inserting an inner liner that fits inside an outer shell, creating a layer of air between them. The two liners are then permanently fused together. The insulation reduces condensation and keeps beverages hotter or colder longer than non-insulated cups and glasses.

The original technology was developed by two engineers -- Frank Cotter and G. Howlett Davis -- in Detroit, Michigan in 1946. Cotter and Davis combined the last three letters of their surnames to come up with the name Tervis. John C. Winslow purchased the Tervis product rights in the 1940s. The Tervis Tumbler Company was then incorporated in 1967. All Tervis drinkware is still made in the USA at the Venice, Florida manufacturing plant.

Tervis drinkware is available in the following sizes and styles:

A 2.5-ounce collectible and an ice bucket are also available, along with accessories such as handles, travel lids, straw lids and straws.

In addition to its in-house designs, Tervis has licensing agreements with all five of the major American sports leagues (MLB, MLS, NBA, NFL, and NHL), nearly all major NCAA colleges and universities, all branches of the United States Armed Forces, and many companies such as John Deere, Coca-Cola, Disney, Hello Kitty, Marvel, Nickelodeon, Warner Bros. and Lucasfilm.

The drinkware is available in seven color choices in addition to clear, and customers can also customize their drinkware with original artwork and/or photography that they provide.
