The Beautiful & Damned is the fourth studio album by American rapper G-Eazy. It was released on December 15, 2017, by RCA Records. It features guest appearances from Halsey, Cardi B, ASAP Rocky, Kehlani, Jay Ant, E-40, Charlie Puth and Anna of the North, among others. The album was preceded by three singles; "No Limit", "Him & I" and "Sober".
The album's cover art and release was released on November 8, 2017. A short film is set to accompany the album on its release date. The film was directed by Bobby Bruderle alongside G-Eazy, who co-wrote it and will be released as an Apple Music exclusive. In an interview with Angie Martinez, he revealed the album's concept.
The Beautiful & Damned received mixed reviews from music critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album has an average score of 59 based on 5 reviews.Substream Magazine rated The Beautiful and Damned 4.5/5 stars, and commented that G-Eazy finds balance on the album, describing it as a reminder of why he "is one of a kind".The Irish Times called it a "grandiose hip-hop chronicle", giving it 3 out of 5 stars.
Idolator said that it is "armed with some of the hottest beats of the year and the most chillingly earnest lyrics", rating it 4 out of 5.
HipHopDX maintained that The Beautiful & Damned "possesses enough serious assertiveness and classic Bay area slick talk to burn well into 2018", giving it 3.9 out of 5.Billboard described the album as compelling and confessional.
