Thomas Brown (1 December 1811 – 11 December 1889) was a Scottish-born Australian politician.
He was born at Craighead, the son of David Brown. Around 1838 he married Mary Maxwell; they had no children. He migrated to Australia around 1839, and owned the Eskbank Colliery. In 1872 he was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for Hartley. Re-elected in 1874, he resigned in 1876 after a parliamentary committee found he had illegally supplied coal to the state. Brown died at St Leonards in 1889.
