Tim Story (born 1957 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American composer, recording artist and producer of electronic and acoustic music. Story has performed on more than 20 solo and collaborative albums and in soundtracks for film and television.
Tim Story was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1957. He graduated from the University of Toledo in 1980.
In the early 1970s, Story began composing music in his home studio. From 1981–1986, he recorded several albums of original ambient music, including Threads (1981), In Another Country (1982), Untitled (1984), Three Feet From the Moon (1985), and Wheat and Rust (1987).
In addition to his career as a composer and recording artist, Story is part-owner of a recording studio, Zeta Recording.
