Triphenylethanol, or 1,1,2-triphenylethanol, is an organic compound related to triphenylethylene. It is the parent compound of two drugs, the never-marketed antiestrogen ethamoxytriphetol (MER-25) and the withdrawn lipid-lowering agent triparanol.
