The Tuscany lion or Tuscany jaguar (Panthera toscana) was a prehistoric large feline of the Villafranchian of Italy. Although originally named as a separate species, Panthera toscana is now often recognized as an early form of Panthera gombaszoegensis, the European jaguar.
