Tyson Pedro (born September 17, 1991) is an Australian mixed martial artist who competes in the Light Heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Pedro is an Australian of Samoan heritage. He was introdcued by his father, John, to Japanese jujitsu at the age of 4. From Jujutsu, he progressed to boxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu before eventually fighting MMA.
Pedro made his promotional debut against Khalil Rountree on November 15, 2016 at UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Brunson. He won the fight via submission in Round 1, for which he was awarded with a Performance of the Night bonus.
Pedro faced Paul Craig on March 4, 2017 at UFC 209. He won the bout via first round TKO.
Pedro is married to Rosie. He is the son of John Pedro, who is famous or bringing MMA to Australia.
His brother in law is Tai Tuivasi, who has signed a four fight deal with the UFC.
He is a fan of the Rugby League team, the Penrith Panthers.
