UMA Music is an online magazine for the music industry delivering the latest music, news, releases and entertainment from self-signed, unsigned, independent and otherwise emerging artists.
Founded in 2017, UMA Music belongs to UMA Music Group which also consists of a major awards ceremony and an artist investment arm.
The magazine appointed Joe Philip as the online editor in April 2017.
Since 2017, UMA Music has been the official unsigned and emerging music partner for The Great Escape and Liverpool Sound City, two of the largest music conferences and festivals for music industry in the UK. The partnership sees UMA Music as a single destination for music lovers, festival goers and the UK music industry to stay up to date with the 'Ones To Watch' taking part in the festivals.
UMA Music has a deeper relationship with The Great Escape however, as the flagship event of UMA Music Group, the televised Unsigned Music Awards is to become the opening ceremony for the festival, forming part of a new deal with Live Nation.
In 2017, UMA Music established a partnership with Sofar Sounds, one of the most prominent YouTube channels described as 'a global community where music lovers and artists come together to experience music in an intimate setting at a secret concert'.
The partnership sees UMA Music spotlighting artists that have performed on the show, as selected by the team at Sofar Sounds, with a blend of interviews, podcasts and news features which highlights their mutual commitment to supporting emerging artists in the UK.
