Basil Hallward is what I think I am: Lord Henry is what the world thinks me: Dorian is what I would like to be — in other ages, perhaps.

My real name is Kevin, and I have an eclectic career background, working mainly in education (at various levels, now in higher education), but also running my own business for several years, and (early on) working for a time in the medical field. This background has made me a bit of "a jack of all trades, but a master of none." The only area where I've achieved a bit of mastery is in a few narrow sections of literature.

My username derives from a character in my favorite novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray. I love Oscar Wilde (both the man and his work) but I will attempt, in editing Wilde-related articles, not to let this bias show. If I make any mistakes, please drop me a line and I will fix them.
