According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.3 square miles (8.5 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,677 people, 713 households, and 491 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 512.3 people per square mile (198.0/km²). There were 756 housing units at an average density of 230.9/sq mi (89.3/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 98.63% White, 0.12% African American, 0.30% Asian, 0.12% Pacific Islander, 0.48% from other races, and 0.36% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.83% of the population.
