We Ran is a 1998 rock album by American singer/songwriter/producer Linda Ronstadt. The disc featured back-up from Tom Petty's band, The Heartbreakers. It lasted only two weeks on the Billboard album chart, peaking at a disappointing #160. Despite positive reviews, this release was a rare commercial failure for Ronstadt with U. S. sales of exactly 57,897 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan.
This disc was taken out of print in 2009.
Ronstadt interprets a mixture of rock song material, including rock ballads, by various songwriters from Bruce Springsteen, John Hiatt and Doc Pomus to Bob Dylan.
