Wiconisco Township is a township in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,210 in the 2010 census.
Wiconisco Township took its name from Wiconisco Creek, a west-flowing tributary of the Susquehanna River.
Wiconisco Township is in the northern part of Dauphin County. The borough of Lykens, a separate municipality, is in the southern part of the township. The unincorporated community of Wiconisco is in the eastern part of the township.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 9.8 square miles (25.3 km2), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,168 people, 476 households, and 330 families residing in the township. The population density was 115.9 people per square mile (44.7/km²). There were 530 housing units at an average density of 52.6/sq mi (20.3/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 98.72% White, 0.17% African American, 0.26% Native American, 0.43% Asian, and 0.43% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.09% of the population.
There were 476 households, out of which 26.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.6% were married couples living together, 10.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.5% were non-families. 24.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 13.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.45 and the average family size was 2.92.
