Wilmar is located in western Drew County at 33°37′39″N 91°55′51″W / 33.62750°N 91.93083°W (33.627572, -91.930820), along U.S. Route 278, which leads east 8 miles (13 km) to Monticello, the county seat, and west 8 miles (13 km) to Warren. Arkansas Highway 133 leads north from Wilmar 7 miles (11 km) to Arkansas Highway 35 east of Rye.
