The 2015–16 Boston Celtics season was the 70th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Celtics finished the year at 48–34, their best record since their 2011–12 season and their first winning season since 2013.
Isaiah Thomas was voted to play in the 2016 NBA All-Star Game. For the second straight season under Brad Stevens, the Celtics qualified for the playoffs, this time as the number 5 seed. However, the Celtics once again did not make it out of the first round as they were stopped by the Atlanta Hawks in six games.
