Kingdom is the upcoming second studio album by English electronic music production duo Gorgon City. It is scheduled to be released in 2017, through Virgin EMI Records. The album is set to feature the likes of Vaults, Tink, Mikky Ekko, Wyclef Jean and Elderbrook.
After the last single was released from their debut album, entitled Sirens, the duo embarked on their major headlining tour during the summer months of 2015. This was around the time when they started recording and producing more material. During the tour, they debuted a new song, entitled "Saving My Life", featuring vocals from musician ROMANS. The song was officially released as a single in August 2015. On the day of its release, it sparked much interest on the duo producing their second studio album.
Then, after a long break, the duo made an unexpected return with their first single of 2016, entitled "All Four Walls", featuring vocals from British band Vaults, which was officially released in April 2016.
Around the time of the song's release, the duo announced their second studio album, under the title Kingdom and that it was expected to come in two parts, with the first part being released in August 2016. They also released an official playlist of the album on digital streaming platform Spotify, revealing that songs from their previous album were likely to appear on it – this was later said to have been scrapped. It also announced "Saving My Life" as a non-album single. Furthermore, the duo said that they were to release a new song every three weeks.
The announcement led to singles "Impaired Vision", featuring vocals from musician Tink and Mikky Ekko, and "Zoom Zoom", featuring vocals from singer and record producer Wyclef Jean, being released, as well as promotional singles "Blue Parrot", "Doubts" and "Smoke".
During the autumn months of 2016, the duo released their fourth official single from the album, entitled "Smile", featuring vocals from musician Elderbrook.
