"Say Yes" is the twelfth episode of the seventh season and 95th episode overall of the post-apocalyptic horror television series The Walking Dead, which aired on AMC on March 5, 2017. The episode was written by Matthew Negrete and directed by Greg Nicotero.
The episode focuses on Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) scavenging for supplies. Back in Alexandria, Tara (Alanna Masterson) must make a morally challenging decision.
Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) embark on a hunt for guns to bring to the Scavengers as part of their deal. After some scarce luck, Michonne suggests they head back to Alexandria but Rick convinces her to stay out another day or two. While resting, Michonne spies a deer. She gets a gun, waking Rick in the process, but scaring away the deer. Michonne reminds Rick that he owes her a deer after he let the Saviors take the one she shot earlier.
They come across a school carnival, full of civilian and military walkers. The military walkers are still wearing their guns; Rick and Michonne relish in their luck. Their luck is further revealed when they fall through the weakened roof of a building only to land safely on a mattress in a room filled with packaged food supplies. They spend the night in the building having a feast while Michonne encourages Rick to take charge of the new world order once they defeat the Saviors. Rick appears reluctant.
The next day, they kill the walkers in the carnival grounds. After splitting up, Rick notices a deer and attempts to shoot it for Michonne. He falls from a ferris wheel and is quickly swarmed by walkers. Michonne runs over to help and is devastated when she sees several walkers feasting on a corpse. She drops her sword and is nearly overcome herself before Rick emerges from a hiding place and helps her defeat the remaining walkers. It turned out the corpse was that of the deer. They collect all the guns they can find and head back to Alexandria.
