Thudiyalur railway station is a suburban railway station of Coimbatore. It is a station in between Coimbatore and Mettupalyam..The station was reopened by Railway minister suresh prabhu and a temporary halt has been made.
Recently Thudiyalur railway station building was refurbished and the station started functioning from July 3, 2017 onwards. Thudiyalur railway station halt station on the Coimbatore - Mettupalayam section. out of 4 pairs of passenger trains operating between Coimbatore and Mettupalayam, only 2 pairs of trains halt.
Halt Timings 8:43 AM towards Coimbatore 9:40 AM towards Mettupalayam 4:50 PM towards Coimbatore 6:07 PM towards Mettupalayam.
As of now, these trains are provided a temporary halt for 6 months, on reviewing the patronage of the passengers, this will be changed to a permanent one. The local body insist people to travel by train, so that the other 2 pairs of trains also halt at Thudiyalur.
